KUALA LUMPUR: Maybank Bhd is targeting a minimum 60,000 customers, from its existing base of 300,000 affluent customers, to sign up for its latest service, Maybank ASPIRE, by early 2015.
Maybank ASPIRE is a new branded segment designed to cater to affluent customers through a comprehensive suite of financial solutions.
Deputy President and Head for Community Financial Services Datuk Lim Hong Tat said the new service was aimed at filling existing gaps by providing a differentiated banking experience focused on the main value propositions.
"There are four main value propositions; personal, secure, maximise and empower.
"Through these four propositions, we aim to provide ASPIRE customers with services that fulfill their basic banking needs," he told a press conference after launching Maybank ASPIRE here today.
Lim said the bank expected ASPIRE to boost the growth in total financial assets of the affluent segment to 27 per cent by 2015, reaching some RM129 billion.
This was higher than the average annual growth rate of 16 per cent on total financial assets of the affluent segment that the bank had recorded over the last few years.
He added that ASPIRE would not only enable the bank to improve efficiency at all its 111 branches across the nation but also help them target the right product and service for the right segment.

"We will extend our consistent and standardised service delivery for better customer experience to over 400 branches by 2015 to cater for the growing number of affluent customers," Lim said, adding that ASPIRE had resonated well with Maybank's mission of humanising financial services, which included advising customers based on their needs.
