This was confirmed by former Selangor Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim regarding the announcement of the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, who has completed a restructuring agreement Selangor water today.
He said the two sides should consider the interests of the people and find the best solution in the interest of the people.
"I hope the results of the water restructuring agreement that began in 2008 will be assessed back to benefit the people.
"I personally felt that both the State and Federal Government needs to find a solution in the interest of the people," he said in a statement on its Facebook today.
He said the agreement is more biased in favor of the concessionaire cause people to have incurred losses since long.
Previously the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali decided Selangor water restructuring agreement with the federal government expires after Putrajaya requested the suspension for the third time.
He said the Federal Government had 'violated the terms' agreement signed in September and the State Government had no option other than to cancel it.
On 12 September 2014, the Federal Government and the Selangor Government signed a Heads of
Agreement to finalize the restructuring of water supply services industry.
