BUTTERWORTH: A worker at an eatery has been charged with six counts of sex-related offences involving two girls – aged seven and eight – one of whom is believed to be related to him.
The 50-year-old man from Bukit Tengah earlier claimed trial in a Sessions Court to inserting his finger into the private parts of the eight-year-old.
The man also denied a second charge of committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature by trying to insert his penis into the girl’s private parts. Both offences – under Section 377CA and Section 377C of the Penal Code – carry up to 20 years in jail and whipping.
The man claimed trial again before another Sessions judge, Meor Sulaiman Ahmad Tarmizi, to a charge of inserting his finger into the private parts of a seven-year-old girl, believed to be his relative.
The man had allegedly committed all the offences at a house in Jalan Sama Gagah here on the night between Nov 24 last year and Jan 11 this year. The Star
