JOHOR BARU - It was a close call for a 10-year-old boy after he was nearly abducted just outside his school in Johor Jaya here on Monday.
It is learnt that the boy, who is a Year 4 pupil in a vernacular school, was approached by a male suspect at the bus stop about 15 minutes after school ended at 1pm.
The suspect, clad in a dark blue T-shirt, had apparently called out to the boy and said that his mother had sent him.
The boy, who was waiting for his mother to fetch him, refused to follow the suspect. However, the suspect became persistent and pulled at his sling bag while urging the boy to follow him.
