Sox bloggers Alvin Tan and Vivian Lee, better known by their nickname Alvivi, have had their Facebook page permanently shut down after posting a controversial Selamat Berbuka Puasa greeting.

Malaysians united in slamming 'stupid' antics of sex blogger duo.

They drew the wrath of many netizens, both Muslim and non-Muslim, as the greeting featured a photo of them eating bak kut teh (a pork dish).

On their joint Twitter account @AlviviSwingers, they wrote on Friday that their Facebook page was now closed after the website received "strong negative feedback" from users as reported by Asiaone.

They used foul language in their ensuing tweets, blaming the public, media and Facebook staff for their account's closure.

In less than 24 hours after their controversial Thursday post, the couple received over 500 comments which lambasted them for their lack of sensitivity towards Malaysian Muslims.

Tan had earlier told The Star that they had posted the greeting for "no reason. Just a joke, I guess".

After the overwhelming negative feedback, they posted an amended photo on Friday, which showed the pork dish covered up with halal food.

The greeting had also changed from "Selamat Berbuka Puasa" to "Ampunkanlah Kami (Forgive us)", with the sub-caption.

The pair shot to notoriety after posting a video of themselves having sex last October.
